Conceived as "a combined memorandum cook book and scrap book," its narrow, space-saving format and blank pages invited owners to add household notes, manuscript recipes, and clippings. The format and recipes emphasize the reliability of tested recipes. This particular copy has a homemade culinary manuscript laid in. Our owner took small lined paper and stitched them together - recipes written on thirteen pages. Interior lightly toned with light foxing. Covers rubbed.
