Gilliam, Missouri: c 1930. Spiral_bound. Unpaginated. 21.5 x 14 cm. A lovely Mid-West themed community cookbook. Recipe attributed to community members. I particularly love the recipe for Chicken Salad (for 50), most likely made for a church supper. Based on our research of the local advertising within this volume we can conclude the book was published between the late 1920s and the early 1930s. Black and white illustration of the church on the front free end paper. This church is presently closed. The town, once bustling with over 1800 people now has a population under 200.
