Mr. Pibb, created by The Coca-Cola Company in 1972 as a rival to Dr Pepper was originally named "Peppo." Following a trademark litigation by the Dr Pepper Company, it was rebranded in 1974, eventually becoming a staple as "Mr. Pibb." One press release distributed by the Atlanta Coca-Cola Bottling Company describes the introduction of Mr. Pibb and Mr. Pibb without sugar - the other press release reports on a giant hot-air balloon that was used to advertise Mr. Pibb's in and around the Atlanta area. Also included is a "Fact Sheet" discussing the marketing of Mr. Pibb soda. All housed in a glossy color photo folder. Brown color photo illustrated cards. Near fine. Item #4969
