At the turn of the century, Coquille was known for manufacturing wood-products, dairy products and coal. Here in this community cookbook, we find period recipes including: Tomato Soup for Canning, Baked Pork Chops with Apples, Baked Salmon Loaf, Steamed Brown Bread, Date Cake, Steamed Blackberry Pudding, Spiced Gooseberries, and many more. Local Advertising throughout. One recipe written in pencil on title page as well as two handwritten recipes laid in. Spine reinforced with canvas tape. Interior clean. Tan stiff card. Very good.
