Paris: 1923. Loose_leaf. 25 x 20 cm. Handwritten menu - September 23, 1923 - 42 Rue de la Montagne. Illustrated menu with handwritten menu with prices that includes: Caviar de Russe, Borsch, Blini, and many other specialties. Now a Sushi restaurant, this establishment was part of a wave of Russian emigres that settled in Paris and opened various restaurants, cafes, and cabarets. Although they were not high-end establishments, they often served as cultural centers for the émigré community. Lightly toned, with two chips. Color illustrated broadside. Very good. Item #4737
