Scarce British cocktail book covering a wide variety of cocktails including sweet & medium sweet cocktails, dry cocktails, long cocktails, pick-me-ups, and non-alcoholic cocktails. R. de Fleury, a London bartender active during the early 20th century, sought to consolidate a collection of cocktail recipes around the time of Prohibition in the United States. These recipes are heavily influence by American style cocktails that were sought after by the ex-pats that fled to Europe and the Caribbean during Prohibition. Four hand written recipes at the rear of the book in the "notes" area. Presentation on front free end paper: "With my congrats to Max Smils". Interior stained and toned at edges.
