Established in 1916 by the collaborative efforts of Beverly Hills society women - the Beverly Hills Women's Club was formed to strengthen and explore intellectual ideas, literature, the arts, and philanthropic efforts. Recipes include: Chili and Beans from Will Rogers, Maracon a la lil from Clara Bow, Enchiladas from Dolores Del RioAn , and a wonderful essay by Harry Carr "Eating Native". Other notable celebrities who provided recipes: Barbara Stanwyck, Norma Shearer, Buster Keaton, Fanny Brice, Mary Pickford, and many more. Numerous local advertisements included.
