A "Tale" in the manner of Alice in Wonderland - Little Suey Day, a young girl, falls asleep under a big oak tree and is visited in her dreams by talking pigs and "colored gentlemen, dressed up like a cook" who take her on an adventure and introduce her to the wonders of pigs. An interesting advertising strategy at the turn of the century. Armour & Co. became one of the largest meatpacking businesses in the United States, gaining a competitive edge because of its streamlined meatpacking processes. Packinghouses situated on the banks of the Chicago River and major railway expansions such as the development of the Union Stockyards allowed for the easy importation of surplus livestock from the midwestern farms into Chicago.
