Our author was a thrifty cook with many friends and neighbors names attached to recipes. Many of the recipes can be categorized in the "New England" class such as: Lucy Brown's Indian Pudding, Steamed Cranberry Pudding, Moulded Salt-fish, Welsh Rarebit, Strawberry & Rhubarb Jam, and many more. Three quarters of the book is utilized. Interior stained in the usual way a cookbook would be when used over and over again. Covers heavily rubbed and soiled. Decorative patterned oil cloth covers.
