[COOKWARE] RECIPES with Compliments of The Club Aluminum Company

Chicago: THE CLUB ALUMINUM COMPANY, c. 1925. Pamphlet. 11 page fold out pamphlet. 23 x 10 cm. closed, 23 x 85 cm. opened. Recipes, cleaning, and care. The Club Aluminum Utensil Company was established in 1923. At the outset, its ware - which predated Tupperware - were not available for purchase in stores. Club trademarked covers were airtight, the better to seal in moisture and remove the need for adding water to recipes. Aluminum boasts many advantages, including its superior heat conductivity and shiny look, not unlike silver - allowing families who were unable to afford silver a chance to own stylish kitchenware at a fraction of the cost. Stamp indicates this pamphlet was from the Boston Club. Illustrated with John Held Jr.style characters and black and white photos. Clean copy. White and green illustrated fold out pamphlet. Near fine. Item #4578
