[MENU] Susan Palmer RESTAURANT and OYSTER BAR; 4 West 49th Street - Just West of the Avenue

New York: 1944. Wraps. 24 x 16 cm. By 1944 Susan Palmer's was no longer a "tea room" which had been exclusively a spot for women to dine. This restaurant by Rockefeller Center had a main dining room on the first floor and an oyster bar downstairs. As this was still during W.W.II, the menu states: Special Sirloin Steak Dinner (for two) $4.25 - Governemt Stamped Beef (one pound divided). Other menu items: Southern Smothered Quartered Young Chicken, Kidneys and Fresh Mushrooms cooked with sherry, Boiled Smoked Tongue and much more. Featured in the Oyster bar: Crab Meat au Gratin, Shrimps a la Newburg, Pan Roasted Cherrystones, Oyster Stew, and much more. Rear cover features cocktails, liquor, and beer. Covers toned with small tape mark on the rear. Interior clean. Cream wraps. Very good. Item #4360
