[JOURNALISM] [WOMEN] SHE WRITES FOR PAY WHILE A MAID DOES HER HOUSEWORK; Press Reporting Syndicate

St. Louis, MO: Press Reporting Syndicate, c. 1920. Staplebound. Unpaginated [24 pp.] 14.5 x 9.5 cm. Promotional pamphlet designed to encourage women to become newspaper writers. Syndicated materiel, often referred to as "canned news" or even "canned junk" became popular during the early 20th century. This pamphlet includes testimonial letters from around the country and Quebec declaring the success of signing up with Mr. Coile's Press Reporting class - most likely a postal scam preying on women in search of work. Interior clean, front cover light fold to cover. Cream wraps. Near fine. Item #3883
