This letter, sent to Osmond Wood of Dartmouth, contains the full recipe for making Copal Varnish which was used on for horse-drawn vehicles. Osmond Wood was a farmer in Dartmouth and was a family friend of Stevens. Lightly foxed, previously folded. Handwritten ink on linen paper. Very good. Item #3607
