[TRADE CATALOG] WHITE MOUNTAIN REFRIGERATORS 1910; The Chest with the Chill in it

Nashua, NH: Maine Manufacturing Company, 1910. Staplebound. 64 pages. 16 x 9 cm. Lavishly illustrated Icebox (or cold closet) Refrigeration Systems. Before electric refrigerators, home refrigeration relied on cabinets that were insulated in a variety of ways to house large blocks of ice in or near the top of the cabinet so the cold air could circulate down and around the storage compartments in the lower section. "White Mountain" utilized this system in their well constructed cabinets featuring their "Pure Baked White" interior and removable ice chamber and grate for easy cleaning. Illustrated throughout with size and pricing. Two pages of color illustration. Covers lightly rubbed with closed tear to spine. Interior clean, some pages previously folded at corner. Color illustrated wraps. Very good. Item #3572
