Illustrated in black and white featuring a family having a treat "After The Theatre" & "Family Cheer For All The Year." Created in Lowell, Massachusetts by Dr. Augustin Thompson in 1876 as a concentrated medicine containing gentian root, wintergreen, sassafras and possible even cocaine. In 1884 Dr. Thompson decided to add carbonation and this beverage later became the nation's favorite soft drink. Light foxing, creases visible on cover. Cream color illustrated wraps. Very good.
