Polish Ham Developing Export 1000%

Warsaw and Cracow, Poland: Meat Packers Union of Poland, 1938. Staplebound wraps. 22.5 x 32 cm. 6 pages. Photogravure: Drukatnia Narodowa. Scarce piece of ephemera with bold, colorful illustrations. This booklet is a promotion for Polish ham, proclaiming its rapid growth of exports between 1934 and 1938 and remotely boasting of its great diversity of products. The colorful illustration on the cover shows a cowboy and Polish maiden holding a plate of ham. Also includes illustrations of ships, modern and historic. Text is in both French and English. It speaks of a business confidence and world of trade that was soon going to be crushed by the Blitzkrieg. This brochure is a great vestige of a graphic style of its period. No copies could be found on OCLC FirstServe. Lightly chipped and some edge repairs on wraps. Otherwise in good condition for its age. Illustrated wraps. Good. Item #751
