"The National Home Cook Book is provided with BLANK PAGES, permitting one to copy or paste in the proper place the recipe of any particular kind of dish, as every housewife is interest in saving recipes obtained from friends and other sources." This book was clearly used with most pages having pasted in recipes, plus some handwritten recipes. Also included is 15 separate pieces of ephemera with Acme Freezer, Savery-Savory mushrooms/California Mushroom Co., and Baker's Chocolate manuals. Book is completely disbound although the cover has been expertly restored to hold all pages. Pages heavily toned and chipped. A fascinating find from the turn of the century. [BITTING p.581].
