This first American edition (not the more common Random House re-issue) finds Babar and Céleste creating the city of Célestville while coping with adversaries, fires, and unrest. Interior crisp and clean. Boards clean except for a 2 cm. spot that coincides with a tear in the dust wrapper. Dust wrapper heavily rubbed and soiled with 2 cm. missing at front edge.
