China painting and design was a late nineteenth and early twentieth century pastime, livelihood, and art form for many American women. These amateur women were empowered by their mastery of technology and technique and their modernization of design solutions. The Boston League became part of the National League with the objective to develop a national school of mineral painters and ceramics with an annual exhibition in New York City. The National League exhibited in the Paris exposition with awards given to various modalities. Includes: List (21) Charter Members, Name, Object - the improvement of its members in the art of mineral painting, Membership - shall be limited to 150 persons, residents of Massachusetts, Fees, Officers, Duties of Officers, Meetings, Order of Business, Receptions and Exhibitions.Pages lightly toned, wraps lightly rubbed at spine.
