Thanksgiving Ball invitation: Sir, - Your company, with Ladies, is respectfully solicited at the LANCASTER HOUSE, On Thursday evening, November 28th, at seven o'clock. 22 names listed as Committee of Arrangements, 2 Floor Managers, and Music by Crossman's Band - Four pieces. Built in 1786, The Lancaster House (also known as Lancaster Hotel or Lancaster Inn) was located on the east side of Maine Street just north of the First Church. The stately building was four stories high, with piazzas on three sides and a front balcony. The building burned down in 1906. Folded paper, with embossed flowers in top left corner. Two folds discernible, not affecting text. Cream folded paper, printed in gilt. Very good. Item #1271
