Connecticut/California: 1940's-1960's. Cards. 21 pages. 25.5 x 17.5 cm. Handcrafted recipes book made up of decorated envelopes. Each envelope is decorated with pasted-on photos of food items which are labeled, and filled with recipes. Both handwritten recipes and recipes cut from magazine, periodicals, and food packaging. Some envelopes empty. Front cover decorated with a photo of a 1950's dining room. Laid in: a page from The Lassez-Faire, what appears to be a mock newspaper for humorous purposes; a pink tissue paper party hat; a black and white photo of a house circa 1940's, and an invitation to a wedding - Nancy Jane Franklin (Hopper). Recipes from both California periodicals and Connecticut periodicals. One envelope is detached. Decorated covers, green yarn binding. Good. Item #1931
