Expenses include portage, pilotage, boarding officer's fee, and goods purchased for crew - sugar, coffee, bread, black beans, and vegetables. Maxwell, Wright & Co. was the owner/shipping company that oversaw the operation in Rio, while N. & W. W. Billings is listed as the Managing owner or agent in Connecticut according to the Report of Commissioner of Fish and Fisheries. Text inked and elegantly penned.
